Who we are
Tan Hearing Centre was founded by Mr. C.S. Tan, an Audiological Scientist (Graduate from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Manchester, United Kingdom) who specialises in Adult and Paediatric Audiology. With his M.Sc in Clinical Audiology, Mr. C.S.Tan served in various government institutions, in countries like Brunei Darussalam, Saudi Arabia and closer to home, Malaysia.
After more than 20 years of job experience in his field, Mr. C.S.Tan returned to his hometown in Malacca, Malaysia, to fill the void in the country that required his speciality. At that point, there were only a handful of other people with an M.Sc in Clinical Audiology in the country, including himself.
Tan Hearing Centre Pte Ltd extends on the vision of its founder in:
- Providing the best possible service to the public in terms of diagnosis and rehabilitation from the very young to the very old.
- Creating public awareness on hearing care and the problems and solutions of hearing impairment.
- Ensuring all hearing aid fitting and rehabilitation are conducted by a qualified audiologist (as yet, there is no law in Malaysia to enforce this).
- Being impartial in choosing hearing aids; we understand that hearing loss is unique to each individual, thus we stock a wide range of hearing aids from multinational companies.
- Ensuring proper rehabilitation and follow-up care.
